The last couple of weeks have been busy ones! The students are hard at work and have already mastered the classroom routines!
In math, the class has finished up the rounding unit and is now practicing adding to 1000 with regrouping. Next week we will start subtraction.
In reading, we continue to work on good reading skills with a focus on comprehension, fluency and vocabulary. We have been doing many activities analyzing a characters traits and motivations. We have started looking at all the story elements. Here is a rap song that we have been singing and enjoying to help us remember the story elements.

In social students, we just finished learning about hemispheres, prime meridian, equator, continent, country, state and town.
In other news.......we have a visit from the Planetarium tomorrow. They are bringing a Sky Dome to the big gym!!
We have also completed both math and reading MAP tests. Those scores will be shared soon.
