- October Reading logs are due on Friday. Technically, they are due on the last day of October which also happens to be Halloween. If I were dressing up as a fortune teller, my crystal ball would be telling me that many students will likely forget to turn it in on Monday. So let's save the tricks and get those treats turned in on Friday!
- We will be attending a Halloween Band Show at the high school on Thursday. We will be walking, weather permitting. Permission forms are coming home today. Please sign and return promptly.
- Please send back your conference sign up forms if you haven't already done so.
Student costumes - students’ costumes should be safely designed and age appropriate to allow for adequate vision, mobility and warmth. Masks cannot be worn. NO TOY WEAPONS of any type will be allowed at school.
Please make sure your child is able to dress themselves in the costume independently.
Please remember to keep the sidewalk clear for our students and line up on the grass. The extended parade route will allow parents/families to spread out and enjoy the parade.
All classrooms will exit the front doors and turn left (south) on St. John’s Street. Students will walk and turn left (east) on Elm Place. Turn left (north) on Sheridan Road and turn into our bus lane and enter back through the front doors.
Today students will be bringing home their first monthly reading log. In addition to reading 20 minutes a night, they will also need to work on 4 reading response activities to be turned in at the end of the month. It would be a good idea for students to do one activity each week as opposed to trying to do all 4 activities at once. Happy reading!
