The Last 26 School Days of School
Believe it or not, the school year is coming to an end. Everyone has worked hard during the past eight months and it's time to celebrate! During the last 26 days of school, we will be doing an ABC Countdown. Each school day will have different activities depending on the letter of the day. Your child may need to bring certain things on various days. This sheet will help your child remember what each day in the countdown is all about. Participation is optional. We hope your child enjoys our last days together!
Author Visit Day
Jennifer Holm will be at Indian Trail. Wear pink if you are a Baby Mouse fan or green if you like Squish.
May the Fourth BE With You Day
Wear Star Wars clothes or colors.
Crazy Hair Day
Mohawk? Pigtails? Hot pink? Make it crazy!
Have a collection? Bring a dozen of something to show the class!

3rd graders will be taking Spring MAP tests this week and next.
Tuesday, May 2nd @ 1:00-2:30 Reading MAP
Wednesday, May 10th @ 1:00-2:30 Math MAP
Students need to make sure they have their fully charged Chromebooks at school!
Next week we will be PARCC testing. The schedule will be as follows;
Monday 4/10- Math #1 9-10 am and Math #2 1-2 pm
Tuesday 4/11- Math #3 9-10 am and Math #4 1-2 pm
Wednesday 4/12- ELA #1 9-10:30 am
Thursday 4/13- ELA #2 9-10:15 am
Our specials schedule will be a little messy but we will have some specials every day. There will be no spelling this week or the following week. There is nothing to do to prepare. We are practicing the procedures for how to take the test this week and the students have been learning all they need to know to do well.
Please make sure your child gets a good night's rest and has a yummy nutritious breakfast. Feel free to continue to send fresh fruits and veggies in for snacks.
When not testing, the class will be doing fun activities and games to keep them active and relaxed.
Lastly, all chromebooks need to stay at school starting this Friday 4/7 and will not be coming home until Tuesday April 18. PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL WITH THEIR CHARGER ON THURSDAY 4/6. ALL STUDENTS WILL ALSO NEED WORKING HEADPHONES SO PLEASE CONFIRM WITH YOUR CHILD THAT THEIRS IS IN WORKING CONDITION.

We are celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday tomorrow, Thursday March 2. Your child could wear Wacky Socks (as in Fox in Socks), lots of stripes (Like the Cat in the Hat) and/ or any Dr. Seuss attire will be welcomed. This is not a required activity. It is JUST FOR FUN!!
The 2017 February Youth Art Month
North Shore School District 112 Exhibit
Please visit our amazing “District 112 Student Art Show” at The Art Center of Highland Park, located at 1957 Sheridan Road in Highland Park, IL. The exhibit will be on display from February 17th through February 27th. Families are welcome to attend an informal open house next Thursday, February 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with our district's art teachers and administrators.
