It was such a pleasure meeting with all of you at conferences. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The next couple of weeks we are going to be doing a novel study. The book we are reading is Hour of the Olympics by Mary Pope Osborne. The students will be placed in groups and will be conducting literature circles with different jobs. This is very exciting and different than what we have been doing thus far. We will continue to work on our reading strategies and spelling skills.
In math, the students will continue in their math classes for multiplication. Each class moves at their own pace but covers the same concepts.
In social studies, the students are learning about immigration, cultures and traditions and about different communities around the world.
In science, we will be starting the unit on Simple Machines and forces and motions.
The holiday party will be held on Dec. 21 at 1:45. Please contact Bonnie Ann Hartwi
