I am so lucky to have spent the first part of the school year with the third grade students. They are an amazing group of kids who have already grown in more ways than I could have imagined. I have seen each of them become more organized, more responsible, and more capable already. We have well-established classroom routines and I know that their success will continue throughout the remainder of the school year.
My due date is fast approaching, and with it comes a time when the kids will, yet again, meet their “new” teacher. While I am sad that I won’t be back, I am thrilled to announce that Mrs. Fran Morof will be my sub during my maternity leave and through the remainder of the school year. She has an outstanding history in education, has experience in our school, with our team and curriculum, and has a wonderful presence in the classroom. She is currently subbing for Ms. Prestinario and has been since November. I know she will continue to create a warm, safe, and fun place for the kids to learn everyday. She and I have been working together over the past few weeks and will continue to communicate to make the transition as seamless as possible.
Thankfully, the district has created an email for Fran for her to continue to communicate with you. Her email is email@example.com.
It is hard to leave this delightful group of students, but I plan to stay in touch with them and Mrs. Morof throughout my maternity leave. I have promised to visit with the baby and to post pictures on the blog after her big arrival!
It has been a pleasure teaching your children, and I leave knowing that they are in good hands. They will have an amazing remainder of the school year.
